I. Arriving and Departing Washington, DC

Airports - The greater Washington area is served by three airports:

  • Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport - DCA

Amtrak Discount

Amtrak trains arrive and depart from Union Station.

Convention fares cannot be booked online. This offer is not valid on the Auto Train and Acela service. Fare is valid with Sleepers, Business Class or First Class seats with payment of the full applicable accommodation charges. Fare is valid on Amtrak Regional for all departures seven days a week, except for holiday blackouts.

II. Washington, DC Metro

The Metro operates from 5 am to midnight on weekdays and from 7 am to midnight on weekends. There are six color-coded lines. These are closest to the hotel:

  • Gallery Place / Chinatown (Red Line) 0.5 miles SE
  • Mt. Vernon Square 7th St. / Convention Ctr (Green & Yellow Lines) 0.1 miles E

III. Taxis and Other Car Services

Taxis and other on-request ride services are plentiful in DC. Taxi pricing is based on a zoned system; you can see the map and the pricing inside each car. Hail a taxi easily on busy streets or near well-trafficked landmarks; taxis are red with a gray stripe. Pay with cash or credit card. There is also a useful taxi app called DC Taxi Rider available on iTunes for free download.
