Call for paper and panel proposals in all areas of Jewish Studies. The WJSA particularly welcomes panels about Jews in the American West and pedegogy in Jewish Studies. Since this year makrs the 120th anniversary of the First Zionist Congress, the centennial of the Balfour Declaration, and 50 years since the the Six Day War, panels and papers related to Zionism, Israel, or American-Israeli relations would be welcome.

The conference will be hosted by Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California on March 26 and 27 of 2017.

Paper proposals should be no longer than one-double spaced typed pages and should be sumitted with a short CV that includes contact information. Organizers of panels should submit a cover sheet with the title of the panels and the papers and contact information for each presenter. A limited number of modest travel stipends are available for graduate students and overseas scholars presenting papers.
