The Association for Jewish Studies is pleased to launch the AJS@50 Annual Fund, in recognition of our 50th anniversary in 2019. The AJS@50 Annual Fund recognizes the successes of our organization over the past five decades, and seeks to ensure excellence in the field for the next half-century.
As we look towards our fiftieth anniversary, AJS invites contributions to the AJS@50 Annual Fund to help advance and expand our mission. Your support of the AJS@50 Annual Fund will enable us to undertake several new initiatives in 2017 including:
- An institutional survey of Jewish Studies programs and departments, focusing on funding sources, undergraduate and graduate training, and requirements
- Professional development webinars and programs focused on helping graduate students and recent PhDs secure careers inside and outside academia
- Podcasts of special conference sessions and member interviews, to bring the work of Jewish Studies scholars to wider audiences
- Enhancements to the AJS website, ensuring it serves as a cutting-edge medium for scholarly communication and outreach
The Association for Jewish Studies thanks all of those who contributed to the organization in 2016.
