AJS 54th Annual Conference

December 18–20, 2022
Boston, MA

The Annual Conference of the Association for Jewish Studies is the largest annual international gathering of Jewish Studies scholars in the world. With more than 1200 attendees, over 190 sessions, a major book exhibit of leading publishers, cultural programming, plenary, and awards, the AJS annual conference provides a unique opportunity to share ideas and explore the world of Jewish Studies scholarship.

As we face recent surges in COVID, RSV, and Influenza, we urge conference attendees to do their part to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Masks: We ask conference attendees to wear masks, fully covering their noses and mouths, when in the AJS convention spaces, unless actively eating, drinking, or presenting in a session. We will have masks available at the registration desk. Please know that neither the Sheraton nor the city of Boston has a mask mandate, so other hotel guests may not be wearing masks.

Badges: Convention badges will be required to access the AJS convention spaces. Please wear your badge at all times.

PLEASE DO NOT attend the conference if:

• You are experiencing symptoms of the flu, RSV, or COVID-19 (e.g., a fever of 100.4F or higher, cough, shortness of breath, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, extreme fatigue, or other symptoms associated with COVID-19 as identified by the CDC);

• You test positive for COVID-19 or Influenza.

COVID Tests: The AJS will have a number of COVID rapid tests available at the registration desk.

These safety protocols are subject to change.
